Mallard chick catching flies, on the canal at Crossflatts West Yorks.

Playing around with new toy - the speed and af are wonderful
A group of mallard chicks were chasing about after flies, most entertaining.

Techs
1D2N 400mm 5.6L 1600th F5.6 ISO 800. Big crop - sharpened etc in PS

By for now

A wonderful flight shot of the Common Fly John. I'd be tempted to clone out the distracting duck and compose it a little lower in the frame

Great timing and :toast: to the 8.5fps!!

Very nice indeed. Graeme

Very good.
Tell me though; were you focusing on the fly, hoping a duck would come along? or were you focusing on the duck and waiting for a fly to come along?

Enjoy the new toy. They're tough as old boots, mine's a good advert for what kind of condition they can get into and still work
