I'm being brave (very) to post this. I am SO not a videographer, and I took this with my phone. It's 3:08 (down from 23:08) and it has music. But it's watching the birds fly in to roost at night, mostly Ibis, some Great Egrets, a few Great Blue Herons, some Little Blue Herons, maybe some Snowy Egrets. You can't really see the herons because they're not white. I finally took this so I would have it, because not everybody has this in their back yard every night. But I'm posting it to share with anyone interested.
Wow, that's a lot of roosting birds! We have an area like that in Northern CA, near Bolinas I believe. Can't recall the name of the sanctuary.
I watched the video and I'd say you did pretty good; the music is especially effective. The only feedback I have is that you might try and make the transitions slower/smoother. The transitions happen to fast, at least relative to the beat of the music. I'm no videographer either so have no suggestions how to do that...

That's a LOT of birds! Never seen anything like that.
I agree with Lon - the music was nice and relaxing, although a wee bit loud perhaps. I also agree the transitions were a bit drastic - maybe a little slower or a different kind of effect might be better. Overall, I would say it was a good first effort - a whole lot better than anything I could turn out, for sure.
In case anybody wants to look at it, I think I've made the music a quarter as loud, made the transitions four times as long, and I also added a type of vignette. Maybe it's too complicated now. :)
