Osprey @ Damariscotta Mills
Captured this Osprey at Damariscotta Mills Saturday afternoon around 4:00PM while visiting the area with Michelle Parent over the holiday weekend. The light wasn't the greatest, and I didn't get any "fish in talon" shots that I liked. They were very actively fishing though. The bugs were nasty, so bring plenty of bug spray if you head up there!

D2X, 200-400mm VR @ 380mm, 1/800s @ f4, ISO 200, Tripod, Wimberley Head, Dodged the underside of the Osprey's wings a bit.

Rich,

I hope to get up there in the next 6 days. Was Low tide around 4 PM when you were there last Saturday? By the way nice sharp flight shot!

Hi Jim,

I believe the tide was still in. I wanted to go down the bank opposite the parking area, but there was only a small bit of rock that was above water, so I didn't bother. You would have fit right in last Saturday! Nothing but white lenses
