Canon Firmware Update Question

I have 2 Canon 7D mii, and am updating the firmware.  Must I format the sd card I am using in each individual camera, or can I use the same one twice?  Thanks if you can help!

Sharon, I think to be safe, you should format a card in each camera individually.

Sharon,
I have interchanged cards without formatting and had no problems.  But, to be safe I also would recommend formating after downloading.  Just make sure all of your images are removed.
