One of our local newspaper columnists had an article in today's paper on the review currently taking place of some of our national monuments. It includes a link to a free ebook some photographers put together on the monuments and information on how to submit comments on the reviews. Note that the comment period on one of them (Bears Ears) ends this coming Friday, May 26th. The period for the others goes to July 10th.
Hi Dennis, we've already had this item in another thread with regard to the comments. I did not look today but there were already 50,000 as of yesterday. Hope you had the time to review the issue and make a comment too.....
John & Dennis, glad to see both of you're aware and able to comment as you see fit on this important issue. Thank you both for getting involved......
After reading the article that you've linked here Dennis I'm sure there are those that have that sinking feeling in their stomachs. That being no matter how hard we fight the issue big $$$ will out do the majority no matter what......
Personally, I sign 10 petitions a day for a variety of environmental and wildlife causes. Thankfully, it does make a difference in many cases, but not at the level of a 100% positive outcome I always hope for. If nothing else donating towards these causes can bring about support for court room exposure and again some wins there too......
