In response to the hoards of people trying to get reservations for the August 21 eclipse, Cheatle Lake Park in Lebanon, OR has just opened a new small RV park and dry-camp/tent area for that weekend.
Only minor "scalping" at the RV park - 3 nights for $250 with power/water hookups. All the motels are MAJOR scalping - Motel 6 was $1500/night.
The Salem/Lebanon/Albany/Corvallis area is in the path of totality. - 2 minutes completely dark (And should have a lot of open areas to set up tripods)
