One–handed cell phone pictures from North Carolina

Before breaking my right wrist, I had hoped to have many opportunities for photography in North Carolina. My sister's house is surrounded by birds.

We also had some trips planned. We went ahead and took this trip to Cataloochee Valley in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, very close to my sister's house, to see elk and bear. It was very painful not to have my camera with me, and these pictures are not very good even for cell phone pictures.

My sister, brother-in-law, a niece and nephew, and my son went late in the afternoon. It was pouring down rain, but per park rules we were able to have a picnic on the second floor of this very old barn. It turned out to be a magical time.

It is very difficult to use a cell phone camera with only one hand to hold it and to push the button. I just wanted to show you some of the opportunities I would have had. I will post them one at a time instead of making a collage because posting them one at a time is easier.

Thank you all very much for your good wishes. I will let you know how the surgery goes Tuesday and what recovery is expected.

David, I am typing this with Dragon Naturally Speaking. I don't think this will be enough to help me with my job as a transcriptionist, but possibly it will be of some help. Thank you for your suggestion.

Good going, Barbara.  Keep healing.  It won't be long before you have enough use of the hand to improvise work arounds and are back at it.

Good for you for taking these.  You are already finding work around and after the surgery you will only get better and more imaginative
