Hello everyone, I'm sure most of you are aware there will be a full solar eclipse in August so I thought I would post three links that can be helpful if your planning to photograph this event. (Item #3 is extremely useful)
1) This is a How-To-Photograph the eclipse paper published by Lewis Kemper that will give you some useful pointers: https://www.outdoorphotographer.com/…/how-to-photograph-a-…/
2) This will give you some info towards a cost effective way to make your own Solar Filter for your lens and eyewear: Thanks to David Schoen and Keith Bauer http://www.naturephotographers.net/imagecritique/bbs.cgi…
3) This is an interactive map of the eclipse track through the United States, just click on a location within the map and all the needed info will pop-up - very useful indeed: https://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/map/2017-august-21
Hope this is helpful and good luck, lets also hope we all have a clear day on August 21, 2017.
Note: I compiled this info for the members of our local camera clubs and thought it may be useful to the NPN membership also.
