Like Ned's shot, with some friendly ferns. I always like some foliage around the water, although I did clone some distracting branches away. Ned and I were joking that we should bring some pruners along to "garden" before the shot. You guys should see my backyard garden

I remember seeing a really nice, black slug on a fern leaf in the LRC. I guess I didn't get him in the frame. That would've been neat to have, too.

Anyway, tell me what you think. I'm torn though with super smooth water or stop-action or inbetween. The water was moving really fast and blurred really easily, but I'm now kind of liking a less milky look these days. How does this work for you?

Works very, very well for me, Kevin. The framing with all that green is totally luscious...nice! :)

Kevin, this works very well. I like how you filled the hole to the right of the falls with the foliage (and removed the log). The foreground ferns are a great touch. I like the shutter speed as well. :toast:

I love it, I'll have to check this spot out next time I'm up there.

Reposted using Marc's sharpening technique. Neat little trick:)

Thanks all! Ned and I definitely felt the zen-like shooting. :jump:

This is a great shot, Kevin. Last summer/spring year there was nothing but dirt at this spot! Those ferns make the foreground sing. I usually like this falls smooth and milky to empahsize it's lovely curves, but it looks really good to me now with this shutter speed and the ferns frozen into place.
