This is a beauty, Darren - I really like how you took care to frame the flower perfectly in the framing provided by the leaves. I almost wish the bottom center leaf was in focus, but not at the expenese of the soft, out of focus background.. Very good!

Darren, nice shot. Hey, I enjoyed our hike on Monday. Great to meet you. Hope to see you out on another trip soon.

Darren,
Really goo deye on this image. Very attractive. I think if it were mine, I'd do a gaussian blur on the leaves that are in focus...ya know, center on the flower a tad more.

I would try to make the flower a little bigger. That would also give you more of a bokeh. Minor suggestions to an already nice image.

This is a salmonberry, if you're wondering. very nice! I agree that keeping only the flower in focus, with a G. blur on the rest, might work well. Sandy
