I shot this little fella a couple of weeks ago at a local park here in southeastern Nebraska. I think it is a Willow Flycatcher but would appreciate a verification or a correct identification if I am wrong. Thanks in advance!
Empidonax are hard. But the complete eye ring, buffy wing bars, long primary projection and long, stout bill suggest Acadian Flycatcher to me. I think it is present in SE Nebraska. A Willow Flycatcher wouldn't have a strong eye ring.
