I have always used Lexar CF cards and been very happy with them. I need to purchase some more cards, but I remember reading a while back that Lexar has stopped making CF cards. When I searched at B&H and Amazon to find another brand, plenty of Lexar cards pop up. Do you think this is all leftover inventory from when Lexar was still making the cards? If so, do you think it is safe to buy/use? Or if you have switched to another brand, what are you using? Thanks.
I have pretty much only used San Disk cards. The few Lexar cards I had all failed on me. So I would try San Disk. I have heard some mixed reviews on PNY cards

Carol. I believe it is left over inventory. Last time I checked, the higher capacity cards were all listed as "back ordered" which fits with what I've read. I've used Sandisk as well as Lexar and both have worked fine for me. Delkin is also a good brand, but more expensive. I've used some of the really inexpensive brands years ago and they worked as well. If you're not doing anything that requires a high frame rate, you can also look at the slower Lexar cards as I think the stocks were higher for those the last time I looked.
