Interesting new perspective I haven't seen photographed. I like it. Lets see it bigger.

Marc, You have said to see bigger images but they only allow us to have a max of 200 kb....if I ease up on the compression wont that take some of the detail away....

Nice perspective - I like the natural flow of this - maybe a slower shutter speed - there is a lot of white in the image but it's very soothing this way.....

I'll tell you what, Darren - I really like this in square!! :toast:

I'm with Ned...Square is in here! I'm not sure, but the water looks like it has an ever so slight color cast to it. If you can make it silver white, it would stand out more from the surroundings.

I do like this angle. If you don't mind me asking, did you shoot from near the parking area with a telephoto lens, or were you able to hike up the side of the river? When I was there last week, I passed up Wahkeena because it looked like the hillside trails were closed. But, it was early in the morning and my thermos of coffee probably hadn't kicked in by this point so I could have been mistaken.

Best regards,
-Brett

The FS doesn't like people hiking up the hillside along the creek, and has posted the "closed" signs to try to keep people out. I dunno about you all, but I don't speak sign...
Some of my favorite comps of that one are from halfway up the slope adjacent to the creek.

I almost died getting this shot..seriously!

after you hike up and around (no this is not taken from the parking lot) at the end of the cement rail, bridge whatever....you can climb over the bank....and station yourself amongst the rocks (straddle) if you will...

I did not see any signs saying I could not go there....
thanks for the comments guys!!!! I am hoping to get some new stuff tomorrow :jump:

Aaaaah. I see where you are. I've climbed up on that rock too. The signs I referred to are down at the parking lot end of the dirt paths that line the east side of the creek, so, yes, technically there isn't anything that say you can't get up there.
