Little Cascade
Taken right off trail on the Eagle Creek Trail. Not sure if this tiny stream is named or not - it is above Punchbowl Falls just a little bit - in fact it meets Eagle Creek in a tiny waterfall just before the brink of Punchbowl..

That stream is called "Shnuuk-Nee-Aileoh" , an indian name which means: "That which adds to the greater good". Early settlers used to utilize this stream for bathing, as a sign of disrespect to the Indian God "Muahoa".

OK...just kidding, I've no idea either...but it sounded good didn't it? :wavey:
Love the lush greens, and those dern ferns are just killing me. I know where I'll be this weekend...
Didn't you shoot this before, a couple years ago...and get your feet wet or something? Maybe you and Eric?

This is one I shot with Reala way back when.. it is much more lush up there than last time..

I remember you shooting this a few years ago. I like it all except for the tree intersection at the very top of the frame.

I find the tree intersection problematic too. D**n, now you'll have to go back and shoot it again!

Yeah.. but I love the framing it provides.. it was what drew me to it..

This shot has beautiful colors and detail in the vegetation. On my screen, it really pops.

Ned, this is called Tish creek. No idea how it got the name or what it means. I've followed it all the way before, as I have most tributaries to Eagle Creek. About a mile up, there is a 150-foot falls that's beautiful but not terribly photogenic.

I love this shot. Very nice composition. I've been through here fifty times and it never occured to me to shoot this perspective. Nice one. :toast:

I like it Ned. Those greens keep me wanting to shoot more! <hint, hint>

Another nice water shot, Ned! :toast:

Seems to me there's enough folks here who like to shoot water to call for a group field trip somewhere.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the comments and the ID, Marc.. I agree Jerry - and the time is just right.. maybe we could put something together before the month is out. We could do something easy, something eloborate, or anything in between. It is easy to fill a day. An overcast one would be best all around..

I'm up for it. It's alway nice to meet the folks you share comments with. However, it looks like we are going on strike this Tuesday unless management finally takes their head out long enough to take a good look around. So, I will be around for a shoot unless I have to go out of state for contract work until the strike is over.
