Part of the left mitten apparently came crashing down a few days ago (someone was actually there to photograph it happen but the images are posted on a private group site so I can't link).

Yeah - funny thread!

Looks like the photograph without thumb was taken from opposite side, so the thumb is not visible.

After Grant's April Fools joke (about the blanced rock falling), I'm not sure I can believe any of these kinds of stories. "Wolf" has been cried too many times for me.
