pastoral scene, Malnitz, Austria
Contax 139Q, Zeiss 35-70mm F3.5 at F8, Fuji Velvia, hand held (was mountain biking at the time). Scanned on ancient Acer scanwit (and had forgotten just how much dust and rubbish gets on film )

Finally started to look thro' last years film work in earnest

Hi Mike,

What a fantatstic image. The light and colours are excellent as is the composition.

The horse/pony mane in the foreground is lovely.

Regards

just playing with duotones and 2 gaussian blur levels (5 pixels and blend modes lighten and darken ) and came up with this result, which I rather like

Hi Mike

A nice landscape image with a tranquil feel about it. Good colour and balance of tones, no harsh dark areas to spoil it.

Your second version is an interesting 'arty' version, not my cup of tea, just a bit too soft focus for my taste, maybe just a more straightforward sepia conversion would be preferable. But this is all down to personal taste and style when you start manipulating images in this way. Good idea to try though.

cheers

First one is a very nice relaxing scene, the forground pony lifts the image.... I'm arafid the second image isn't my cup of tea either, sorry...... but would be happy with the first in on the wall of our reception area....
