Hi,
Just had a search on google images and there's millions of images of these, but still this is my effort, it's taken a couple of years for me to stumble across one (as this is my style of nature photography. I did another shot from the other side for a back lit version.

Cheers

Google may bring up millions of these but very few of them are anywhere near as good as this  . I particularly like the way the perch comes in from behind rather than from the botom like you usually get in this kind of shot.

Hi Tim - see you've used the 300 to great effect.

Was at Bempton yesterday shooting flight stuff - plenty puffins but always pretty distant. Some nice close razorbills though.

Droves of folk there - the Bill Oddie effect. Got to play with a Canon 500mm - yum yum - it is very portable - easily handholdable for short spells. More grist for the mill!

Hello Tim
I am so envious of your macro work, they are always perfection. Top marks again.
Best wishes

Hi Tim

Top notch image, more than just a bog standard record shot of this great looking butterfly. Super colour and good complimetary background. Nice work. I want to have a go at this type of close-up macro type work myself this season and if I get anything half as good as this I will be happy.

:toast:

cheers
