Went out this early and did the mountain-goat hiking thing.. The effort payed off in finding this section of beautiful stream up in the Columbia Gorge. I have several images from one of the more productive mornings I've had in while - so I will have more to post. This is one of the first ones I decided to work on. Thanks for taking a look!

Sorry - I had to cheat a little bit to share an image of my new grandson - Bradley Allen - born yesterday night about 10:00 Eastern.. This is my oldest son's first child, and my first grandchild..
Allen is my son who beat the odds this last Winter with a rare birth defect.. so we are enjoying two blessings in one!!
Ned....Very cool on both topics.......I am headed out tomorrow morning...not sure where.....and by reading what others are shooting at I am thinking I am using too long of a shutter speed on most of my water images....I see you guys hovering around the 2 sec mark where I am always f.29 25 sec...or somewhere in that ball park....
Just WOW Ned! This just Is a perfect example of why my wife and I were both disappointed with the rain forests when we went to Costa rica. they have nothing on us except for the animals.
Hey! Thanks everyone! Now if he only lived on this coast, I'd be taking tons of pictures of him! Thanks for the comments on the shot, too. It was a very relaxing day out there - taking my time, and trying every possible composition in solitude..
Ned,
awesome Image and Cute grandsone. Congrats on both.

Ha Mark, I love it! thanks for the comments all.. I am so pumped about Bradley it is unbelievable.. you'd think I was a young lad again having my first son..
I just had to respond. I love the way this pic just seems to spill out of the frame and into your lap. Was this on the Eagle Creek trail or somewhere closer???

Love this scene dude...what can I say, but fricken awesome. You really scored this morning.
Also big congrats, Grandpa.
I like the comp in your gorge shot. I especially enjoy the bright green moss on the rocks and the feathered water in the foreground.
And congratulations on the grand dad thing!
