I have yet to see anyone shoot the stream and get the whole falls in the frame. I'm sure there is a reason for this. I've never shot here because lots of tourists scare me  Ok, I'm sort of kidding there, but it is a popular spot. This shot works well for me. I feel the textured Basalt in the background and two small cascades are an asset to the composition.

Marc, Ill be dead honest with you...I just dont have a lens wide enough to get it all in....besides...the spray from the falls is pretty brutal at certian times of the year...thanks for the comments......my St. Bernard was the show stealer of the other image I have of the whole falls and the bridge.........

This is cool, Darren - I agree with Marc on the addition of the lower cascades... Member Mike, (Swami), once posted a great full waterfall image from there once. It was one of those rare days when he made it all work with even some blue sky at the top.. Maybe he will repost it..

Darren, this works for me. Under normal circumstances, centering the falls takes the fun out of the scene...but with the elements on the left and right, it works.

Even at 20 mm I couldn't frame the falls with the stream (vertical or horizontal). 16 or 17 mm ultra wides might help. This is cool framing though.

Darren,

I like it, but like Ned and Marc said, it's not an easy waterfall to shoot. I wish you could see Swami's shot of it, for perspective.
