Just beautiful Sandy! This will make a nice print. I'd probably fix the ccw tilt first though.

Sandy, Nice image....

I would like to see the wood on the barn a bit warmer and just a little more of the barn...IMHO!!!

but again...great shot...

The roof was ratty and they had christmas lites still strung up - so the crop was difficult!
Let me see what i can do to get a larger part of it, though. Short of going back and asking them to take down the lights  not sure what i ca do though! LOL! S

Sandy,
The colors of the flowers really compliment the tone of the shack. I do think you should clone out the plant growing into the dark part of the window frame. It's a little distracting IMHO. Other than that, I think you have a real winner of an image!

Sandy, you've got great color contrasts here between those flowers and the weathered grays and peeling paint of the barn. I think it's a winner too and might agree with Erik on the cloning of the flower stems in the window.

This is cool.. I might have moved a little more to the right to avoid the flower merges with the open window and hinge.. nice color!

Sandy,

I love old barn shots. This one could be a winner! And you know, a B&W may be interesting as well :wavey:

Very nice work Sandy. This is the kind of shot my wife would hound me to get processed and printed so she could hang it.

This place is 2 hrs from me. As luck would have it, i'm heading south tomorrow for a week in Yosemite - and will be going right past this place again. i'm going to stop and get another 20 pictures (with tripod!) to have more to work wth later. Pray someone didn't come along and mow the flowers down!

Reminds me of a wonderful old weathered barn in Ohio a few years ago. Drove past it with my elderly parents, and didn't stop becuase they were tired. Went back 2 days later, and the barn was being torn down. Made me literally sick that i missed a great opportunity.

Stay tuned! Thanks for all the great suggestions, and for helping me see the value in this old shed. I do print out many shots, and this surely will be one hanging, and on my revamped website. Sandy

I like how the foxglove on the right counterweights the window on the left. Great composition! (And color).
