Kestrel in flight
Grab shot at the end of a long hike hunting for Puffins. It swooped over my head and amazingly came back for a second lap.
Canon 1dmk2 500f4 400 ISO 1/1000 H held.

Hi Tom,

A good effort but the light wasn't on your side here, looks a shade flat and undersaturated with the main part of the head in the shadow... not an easy shot and great for a grabbed image.

Great grab shot. As Phil said the light wasn't kind. A little s/h work may give it a little more punch? :smile:

Very little of the bird is in light with most in shadow so as a grab its fine but otherwise doesnt do it for me

Very good grab shot Tom but you were unlucky with the light - but thats how it goes sometimes.
