Another cascade
I think the PNWNP members should get together and do a book on the gorge or something. This is a vertical composition from a previous post. Thanks for comments.

Yeah, Marc, this is it! The stream flaring out towards me is what does it, I think.

crap dude...this is n-i-c-e... I'd probably think about cropping out that lowest boulder...but not a big deal.
We all would be the best people to create such a book...

Wow, what a beautiful shot!

Marc,
Looks like you nailed this one. I agree with my bro about cropping out the bottom rock. BTW, not a bad idea for the book. I would like to have printed with the Nikon shooters in the front of the book and maybe save a few pages at the back for the Canon shooters.

Marc, very nice. Looks perfect.

I think if I cropped the rock, I'd have to crop from the top also for the sake of balance. I think it puts too much emphasis on the greens above. So here is another version that some might feel is more appealing.

I like the original. With the crop version you lose some of the flare in the stream that Mark pointed out.

I also have to agree with Tim. The second looks too tight. The first one is easier too look at with the forefround leading me into the frame. Goes to show what my brother knows.

Another nice shot, Marc!

Okay, to do a book with photos from the photogs here means y'all are going to have to take this Eugenean to a few of these places for some photography! :wavey:

I like the 2nd crop better. It shows rthe place at its best. One of the best shots from Gorge that I have seen.

Marc, I prefer the original - however I'd suggest using the burn tool - set it to highlights and darken the top of the foremost rock so it doesn't demand as much attention. I love this shot !!
