A Photo Art approach to macro flora photography. I am not sure why I like this one so much, but it has really grown on me. I think it is the pastel colors. I need a better title, so if anyone has a suggestion let me know.
Nikon D70, 105mm Macro, tripod, remote, lots and lots of playing around with many layers, curves, levels, photo filter, contrast, channel mixer, hue, etc.
Beth,
It does look and sound like you put alot of time into this. I'm thinking the bottom edge of the top flower is a little too defined. My eyes hit that area right away and tend to stay there. It is a little distracting. I wonder if anyone else has the same take as I do.
It's interesting how the line in the lower petal seems to support the upper petal.
Your treatment here makes this feel really flat. The lip of the petal seems to be the only place with any depth. Maybe that's why Erik's eye gets sucked in there. I think it's a point of interest, but I wouldn't call it distracting.
The color and texture remind me of the inside of a shell.
