I've got a ton of crud showing up in my viewfinder. It doesn't show up on my pics so I know it's not on the sensor or lenses. I know there are probably a dozen Canon dealers in the area who are qualified to clean it for me, but I'm hoping someone can recomend a Portland area professional who you've had good experience with...

I just use a brush to clean the inside of my view finder box. Works great! We all from time to time get dust and such in there which can be seen through the viewfinder. It is merely a distraction and will not show up on your images.

I do NOT advise using a blower ball or ANY blown air in or around your view finder, shutter or sensor!!!!!! The shutters in our current SLR's/DSLR's are VERY fragile!!!!

If you buy the cleaning kit from http://www.visibledust.com/ it will come with two brushes. One for the sensor and the other one for your viewfinder box.

Thanks rick!
I didn't know the shutters are so fragile...

Those Visible Dust brushes are overpriced. You can get the same quality sort of brushes at good art supply stores (I got a couple at Michaels even) for about $5 each.

Um Bryan I strongly disagree. I would NOT recommend using a brush from an Art Supply Store on an expensive DLSR sensor. NOT AT ALL. They are not the same in ANY regard. Throwing caution to the wind in this regard is simply fool hardy.

It seems I saw something about a sensor designed brush in the neighborhood of $20.00 as opposed to the first brand I saw, (is it the Visible Dust?), for over $100. I'm no expert, though..
