I was wondering if anybody could tell me if the plateau is still blooming? I was going to head up the gorge tomorrow and want to do some wildflower shots. Dalles Mt road? Cathrine Creek? Anywhere...? Thanks

You'll be lucky to find anything in bloom out there at this time of year, maybe some Lupine. It comes in later and seem hardier than the Balsamroot. Maybe if you hike up the ridge at Rowena you'll see some Balsamroot. You have to start going to higher elevations to find flowers now.

There are some of those really nice orange lillies on the Wahkeena trail - as well as along the old highway in places..
