The answer is yes.
Can you get to Crystal Mill yet?
Is it worth shooting anytime other than fall?

Schveeeet shot Todd. The title must also apply to the question - Did your camera get wet?!! (Though hopefully something you can wipe off.)

Again, this is great!

Todd – sweet shot. How’s the road?

How’s the road?

Nice and rough, just like it should be. No trace of snow anywhere, but the Crystal River is raging, and there are several waterfalls originating perhaps thousands of feet higher making their way to the river as well.

What - no Brocken Spectre in that mist? Slacker.

That's sweet. The rainbow and water action bring it alive big time!

It's refreshing to see a different take on this overdone spot. Thanks and great work! :toast:

seems you need to clean the sensor a bit.

You're having way too much fun with that digital, Todd
This should go in your next calendar!

I forgot to dust-spot this before posting. Also, I just ordered a sensor cleaning kit yesterday. My sensor looks like there's a reverse galaxy on it right now, despite my feeble attempts with the blower bulb.

Dude...this is awesome!

Visited Crystal on Friday, and boy o boy, is that a rough 4 wheel drive road. 4 wheel drive trailblazer here, made it about 1 - 1.5 miles in on d4 wheel drive road and gave up, to rugged for my vehicle. Parked and hiked the remaining 2-2.5 miles, easy enough hike and well worth the effort... sadly, far more clouds than sun to nothing particularly stellar, but still, something to see. Was told by 1 of the Crystal summer residents that 2nd/3rd week Sept is peak of Aspen, would be great time to go.... But beware if you attempt the 4 wheel drive road!

Timothy,
That road must have degraded over the years! I drove out there with a "high-clearnce" Honda Civic back in 1977. I think it fit between the big boulders. :jump:

Todd, I love that rainbow! You just need another one in the sky, for balance.
