Thankyou & Barn Swallow
Hi,

Just wanted to express a huge thank you to everyone on the forum for all the very kind messages I have recieved, I am completely overwhelmed and lost for words......

I do sincerely hope that I can find a way to carry on.

I have just been going through some images and thought as a way of saying thank you I would post an image from what I consider to be one of my most enjoyable and privaleged sessions from this year. I have watched the Barn Swallows at this farm for many years but never been able to get any images so imagine my joy when this year they started perching right in front of me and I was able to get full frame images.

For me the essence of natural history photography is the pleasure of seeing, not just getting the image, so for many years I had the joy of watching and for one year I had the immense pleasure to take the images I had dreamed of...

One thing is for sure, no matter what I will carry on watching.

All the very best and hope to speak soon.

Phil

Phil, you can't go yet as I am still learning loads from the critique you provide & from the images you post. Brilliant example again of this beauty.

I echo the above comments especially Tim's.

I await your next critique, you take care :wavey:

You will be missed Phil. Particularly your very open and honest approach to image critique. Sometimes I disagree with your critique but they have always been welcome.

Best wishes to you and yours, and hopefully it won't be long before you return :toast:

I wish you well in all you do Phil. It is sad to see someone of your talent go, but you have your reasons and we respect your decision. Take care and we hope to see you back someday.

Hi Phil,

I'm very sorry to hear of your intention to stop your photography.
Hopefully this will only be a temporary measure and I hope any troubled period you may be going through is only a temporary one.

A fantastic image to end on and hopefully your many excellent images will be a good reminder of many happy times spent in the field, enjoying, not only photography, but more importantly, the wonderful world of nature.

Thanks for all you kind and helpful comments over the years, and I very much hope you'll be back, before too long. :wavey: :wavey:
