Today's paper reports that I-40 eastbound will be closed this weekend at MM 8 to repair a tunnel. The closure will be from 10:00 p.m. Saturday to 10:00 pm. Sunday (expected). If you're planning on traveling this stretch during this time, you'll have to do the I-81/I-26 thing or over the Smokies and up the Blue Ridge Parkway.
