Well... I cant do birds (Havent got the equipment...Reminds me of something the wife said...lol).

But I can do insects...

One from the other morning while it was still cool, manged to gently break the top of the stem and tease it gently into place, suprising how compliant they and a lot of insects seem to be while they are cold.

Full Frame:
Nikon D70 - Sigma 180mm Macro, Iso 200 , 1/125@f11.

Great colours in the wing, and on the body too. Everything in focus that needs to be, no distractions in the background, great shot.

Lovely Chris - a pleasing palette of colours and great detail.

A simple and most effective composition.
I like it. :toast:

As said simple and effective, might wish for a small amount of fill poss from a reflector from the right, but that is so minor its probably not even worth mentioning, but I have anyway

Hi Chris

A simple composition which works perfectly. The soft background is ideal in this shot and shows the insect off well. Nicely taken.

cheers

Superb - just photographed a Green lacewing myself - but sadly got a flash hotspot on it which I didn't notice until I got it onto the PC.

Wish it had been as good as this - just love the background.
