Heading up to Granite Falls on the west side tomorrow, if anybody is game I am planning on being at the Green Mountain Trailhead between 6:30 and 7 am Sunday Morning. Hope to see some of you out there. Jesse Spear has a great write up about it here. (Jesse hope you don't mind)

Man, I sure wish I could come. Sunday is usually a family day so I'll just dream about being with you on that hike. Have fun and come back with lots of photos to post!

Joe,

How did it turn out?

I was at Alberta Falls on Saturday (6/10) with my family and the water was flowing really well with a lot of mist coming off the falls! :eek:

There were many spots along the way with good fast flowing water for nice shooting ops as well. I was shooting during pretty bright sun light so couldn't slow the shutter for that longer exposure look. But it was still fun and very beautiful.

Turned out pretty good, went up on Sunday as stated. The hike was pretty nice and just like the east side of the park, the water was really flowing. I will post some shots as soon as I get them done.

ps the mosquitos were horrible :smile:

Don't mind at all Joe. It's a nice trip down memory lane to be reminded of those older RMNP reports. Although I lament my super saturated processing skills at the time! Can't wait to see a pic or two from your trip. A great trail to get away from people ...
