Adam and I went hunting for a High School Coach in the Rocky Mountains of New Mexico yesterday. Contrary to what a tourista (which is New Mexican for your touron) we encoutnered along the trail thought, there are real, bonafied, official Rocky Mountains in New Mexico, thank you very much.
While the coach is still lost, I did end with a few interesting shots. In this shot, I was playing around with flare in order to add some mystery to a rather ordinary waterfall shot. I've yet to decide if I like the shot, but I thought I would share it here because I think the essential element of any of these forums is to share, critique, and otherwise discuss works. Brutal critiques asked for if necessary. But I'm really interested in photoshop ideas, as I think I have the raw data to get a decent shot, but my photoshop skills are sorely lacking.
The quest for the coach will continue through the summer, but thankfully after a long parched day in the exceedingly dry mountains of New Mexico, I was able to find an ice cold coke, and share it with some good friends over steaming Taos pizza pie. And I also saw a pretty nice sunset, for which I hope to share some photos here soon...
Thanks for the comments! I never thought about including the sun. I don't think I physically could have, but I'll keep on eye out for that in the future.

All it would have meant was moving a little closer to the falls and getting some water on the camera. Sure it would probably kill the 10D, but then you would have a reason to upgrade to the 5D.
As Clint Eastwood once almost said, "Reason has got nothing to do with it"... I got a feeling that come Thursday evening or so I'll suddenly have a great deal of renewed interest in photography.

I like the image very mich. The sun rays add a great sense of mystery and drama.

Good idea to play with flare and try something new. My two cents: I would include more of the sun and more flare.
