One from last summer as I'm really behind on my processing. This is one of my favorites of Mt. Hood.

Cool perspective Tomas, the moon is a nice element as well.

Yeah, that's a good 'un! Very nice. I like the moon, too.

Too bad there wasn't any more sky action going on. A nice image none the less.

This is really nice. The composition is great. The only nit I think would be the halo(?) around the rock. Might be the JPEG compression, I'm not really sure.

Thomas, great shot. With a little imagination it looks like you survived an encounter with the giant mountain slug.

Hmmm, can't say I'd spend too much time with this one, the comp isn't doing much for me and I see too many other problems to fix.

The comp. is very complex. Not the type of thing that will excite everyone - Mark, I know from experience isn't one for competing elements, but I often enjoy the combination of multiple elements in a scene, even if my eye does have to wander around without much a resting point. There are a few other problems, such as a lack of shadow detail at right and slightly too noticable polarization, but just minor points. This is quite a unique image that I find very intriguing. There are just so many nice things to look at here from the old, gnarled root all the way to the moon over the peak, and all photographed in excellent light.

Yes there is a lot going on in the image. I did like the different look on Hood then Trillium lake
