Camel's Hump Sunburst
Greetings North East Folks!

I thought everyone might need a reminder of what the sun actually looks like and that it does shine on us from time to time in the northeast.

I'm a new member of NPN and the northeast forum. I thought I'd share an image from my home state of Vermont. Many of you know this prominent peak, Camel's Hump located in north/central VT. This was shot a few years ago in Moretown, near Waitsfield, VT. Your comments are welcome and greatly appreciated.

Beautiful shot Kurt! The sky is very dramatic. I love that touch of blue in the upper RHC. It's nice to see the sun in Vermont, even if it's only a photograph!

Where in Vermont are you?

Hey Richard:

My wife and I just bought a house in Middlesex, but have lived in Waterbury and Montpelier since coming to VT seven years ago. I spend a fair amount of time prowling around the streams and forests in central VT shooting landscapes and general nature subjects. I'm starting to shoot a lot more of the human landscape lately, kind of hard to avoid around here. I've noticed you and Michelle Parent get out and do some shooting together. I'm eager to hook up with some like minded folks.

Kurt,

Welcome to NENP. . . I always love these sunrise/sunset shoots. I agree with Rich that patch of blue makes this image very unique.
