Got a few shot of this bird visiting the harbour in Elsinore, Denmark this weekend. The bird is one of the rarest gulls, being endemic to the Mediterranean Ocean.
This is the first ever record for both Denmark and Scandinavia. It's a bit ratty looking, and therefore the experts are discussing it's possible origin. I think they so far conclude it's a 4cy with a natural origin
20D + 500/4; iso200, f8, 1/1000; cropped to vertical, and cloned out the wingtip of another gull.
Hi Helge,
I remember being thrilled to come across these birds for the first time in Majorca last year.
An excellent shot, tack sharp and what a superb angle you've captured here.

What a superb fight shot of this rarity, sharp, well composed and showing the topside of the wings excellently, one to be very pleased with.

A great flight shot, especially of such a rare bird. Can't really find any nits, the angle from above the wings is super.
