Ahhh.... One last South Carolina image and then I'll stop booring you with them. This one was taken for my wife because she loved the fence and dunes. So I balanced myself and tripod at sunrise on a 4" wide railing to gain about three feet of elevation and get some separation between the fence top and shore line. I cropped this from the top to get a 5 x 10 pano. Thanks for looking!

Nice job on this one too, Wayne. You've made some great pictures this trip - I think the composition is about perfect in this one. I love how the fence divides the scene, and the color is just right. Very nice place to take pictures. Thanks for posting!
Wayne, If each image is going to get better, as they have so far, I think you should keep posting your South Carolina stuff. Great compostion, great lighting. Excellent post!
This is really fantastic Wayne! I really like the comp with the grasses in the upper left balancing the fence in the lower right. And the color is PERFECT! And I just love how the clouds formed where the sun is coming up. Very well done! A very minor nit that I just noticed is the sign on the left side. I don't see anything wrong with the post, but the white sign would be pretty easy to clone out...
Beautiful image! Thanks for sharing - I'm certainly not getting bored.

Thanks for the wonderful comments everyone! Bill you hit on the one thing I was debating about, removing the "Keep off the Dunes" sign. I left it in because of the fence but if I do decide to remove it before printing this image I'd probably remove the entire post, not just the white sign. Good catch!
Random thought: This image really came to life for me after I cropped the top off the image and it has reinforced in me the importance of "seeing" the image inside the larger scene I'm looking at in the viewfinder and not passing up a potential winner when on location.

Great shot. Gina and I love this one. Great job on both composition and technical aspects of this one!
Keep'em coming.
