Kinsman Brook, Franconia Notch
I shot this a few weeks ago and just got around to processing it, which isn't anything new. I still haven't processed images from last fall. One good thing about all this wet weather we've been having lately is that the streams are nice and full! On this particular day they were way too full, however. The pemi was almost over its banks, too much water to make nice comps. I focused instead on smaller tribs. Your comments are greatly appreciated.

BTW: Anyone been to Sugarhill lately? Did the rain and wind knock down many of the Lupines? Thinking about heading over on Thurs.

Kurt,
I replied to your lupine question in Jim's topic.

As for this, I like the SS you used on the water. Nice texture to it. I also like the comp here to. The spring greens are really nice too. Was this before Memorial Day weekend?

Thanks for the info Michelle. Ticks! Arrgg! I hate ticks. Were they deer or dog ticks? I spent a couple of years working for NYState Parks in the hudson highlands, deer tick capitol of the US. I even had the pleasure of a bout with lime disease, not fun. I thought I left those little buggers behind.

This was shot the weekend before Memorial Day, 5/20

I look forward to seeing some of your pics. Did you guys stick around for a sunset? It cleared up in the late afternoon.

A nice scene Kurt. You get the whole sweep of the bend in the river. Very sharp as well. Water looks a bit muddy too, a true reflection of the spring we've been having up here!

I'm heading over to Sugar hill Saturday night, so I hope for a good report from you on thursday!

Kurt,
I hate to tell you, but they weren't dog ticks! I still panic at the littlest creepy crawly feeling. I hate ticks! I have never seen them like that since I left North Carolina! You better bring some kind of protection. I never even thought about it, because I've never had to before. It must have been the mild winter we had.
