Just wondering if anyone has any good shots of this falls.....I have never been there but have been told that its pretty limited as to the different angles to view it....
I am in the beginning stages of planning my 3 day labor day road trip
most of the images I have seen of the falls are pretty bad...
any suggestions or secrets that might help sway me to head that way would be great....otherwise I am gonna head north!!!
I just got back from that trail about 3 weeks ago. It's closed due to a major portion of it collapsing, so dont bother heading down to that one quite yet.
It's only got one angle to shoot it from unless you want to hike down to the base, below the overlook.
This is pretty much what you get, which isn't too exciting... http://gallery.photo.net/photo/3006475-lg.jpg

Yep - you are pretty limited on this one.. I don't think I've done anything serious with any of my shots from down there a few years ago.. check out White Horse Falls in the area though.. one of my favs.
I'd say that even though there really is only one easy comp there, its one that everyone should shoot at least once in their lifetime. It IS possible to get to the bottom of the gorge - you just have to start a ways downstream and be willing to get wet walking up the river.
I'm sort of surprised that the overlook was damaged...again. They just finished rebuilding it like 5 years ago. Then again, that trail always seems to have problems. I have to wonder if its issues with the penstock rather than the trail itself.
