I might get chance to visit Oslo in Septemeber. I can spend 3-4 days shooting there after the work. Any suggestions from Landscapes/Nature photography pov?

"Nordmarka" is a forest on the north side of Oslo. You can go by bus or subway to "Holmenkollen" (a skijump facility) and make small trips with your camera. All the 10 pictures on this page, is shot from "Nordmarka":
Only 20-30 minutes with subway from down-town Oslo, you can find lake "Ostensjovannet." This is a very popular place for bird photography. Most of the bird pictures on this page is probably shot from this lake:
If you plan longer trips, I would recommend you to go to the western side of Norway (Hardanger or Geiranger) where probably the greatest and most famous scenery of Norway is located. Here you can find glaciers, steep mountains and narrow fjords.
You may also go to Jotunheimen (the tallest mountains are located here) or Dovrefjell. Here is a picture I have shoot from Dovrefjell:
Torbjørn , thanks a lot!!
I will print all this info.

Hi !
I also live in Norway(Oslo). I agree with Torbj¿rn. Nordmarka is nice in September. You can rent a bike at Voksenkollen station(buy a map over Nordmarka) and cover a larger area. Another option is to rent a car and visit Tj¿me which is a beutiful area at the end of the Oslo fjord. Very special landscape (try to google it to get an impression). Should be possible to rent a cabin at that time of the year. But you should really spend som more days and visit Jotunheimen(check www.turistforeningen.no). They got a system of inexpensive cabins and lot of possibilities for hiking or staying permanent at one place. Their site is also in english. Or you can check out www.visitnordland.no, but that require a longer stay and september is not the best period. Feel free to call me when in Oslo (+4795940319) if you need some advice.

On Dovrefjell there are a lot of Moskoxs, which are quite popular for photographers:
