I have picked up a tip from another forum that i visit,I was telling people about a PS plug in from www.fredmiranda.com called velvia vision which gives a velvia look to your images,I have used it on the latest badger and fox images and was told you can get a similar feeling to your images by using Low Contrast Enhancement some of you may know this and some may not but go to USM in photoshop and set it to 20% 50pixels and 0 it doesnt sharpen the image but boost saturation-Thought you may be intested

Thanks for that Dave.:toast:

If I remember correctly Phil Shaw also mentioned a similar technique a while back, apparantly you've got to use it sparingly if the image contains very bright areas.

It can certainly give a welcome boost to the image, like you say.

Can never have too many useful Photoshop techniques to call on if needed.

PS Congatulations for the Editor's Pick this week over in the Fauna gallery.

the tutorial is "Local Contrast Enhancement" on the Luminous Landscape website

I use Phil's slightly less aggressive settings of 20%, 30r, 2 thr, to lift grey smog in landscape images
