Hawfinch having a sunbath
One of the species i was after during my trip to Hungary was , in my opinion, one of the most elusive birds in Europe, the Hawfinch. I was not to be disappointed: i have never seen so many Hawfinches, let alone photograph them in a unique setting.

Hello Rene
An uncommon species caught in an uncommon pose, very nice indeed, and nothing wrong with the sharpness either  . Excellent result.
BTW excuse my ignorance, but what is a black widow?
Best wishes

Hahahaha thanks Phil, yes sharpness is fine, thanks to all the advise from all you folks! The Black Widow is a Gimbal head a la Wimberley. Its manufactured by a Canadian company called JOBU. I must admit that i have never been a great lover of these heads but im totally converted and ove the design.

Very nice one, Rene. Unusual bird, never seen one, in an unusual pose.

Excellent, great pose bg etc, only minor nit is the broken twig, bottom right, perhaps a touch of careful cloning? Its not major just caught my eye a little...
