My good friend Brian Phipps said that it would be difficult at Gigrin and he was right, I took some thing like 450 shots in about 3/4 hour, and ended up with about 4 or 5 keepers. This is the best of the bunch, the weather was cloudy and I had to shoot every thing at 600iso,just to get a fast shutter speed, still its all good experience!!!

Well this one is a good un-I would be inclined to clone the top rh corner-Nice to see the top of the bird :toast:

Hello Stewart
That's not a bad result at all  , I think it could benefit from a little more saturation and a touch more contrast though.I agree about cloning out the top LH corner too!
Best wishes

Looks like you managed to achieve a nice result despite the less than ideal conditions.
Never easy tracking them against a detailed background.
Be interested to know what the techs/eqipment used were?

Great shot, lots of room for kite to fly into and it nice to see a green pasture background instead of the standard blue sky. Looks very crisp. :toast:

It's a great place to visit and you look like you enjoyed yourself with some great results. The only downside from the photgraphic point of view are the coloured wing tags sported by many birds - can't complain really since they are doing so well!

Have they built the photographers tower yet?

Very nice indeed, the dynamics are all there to make a great image, only nit has been mentioned ... that is the bright piece of sky top left.
