Ice Lake
In the Wallowa Mountains, Oregon. No Ice there in August 2005 when this was captured. The cascades are not nearly the only summer mountain destination in the Northwest! EOS-3, Velvia, polarizer and 3-stop soft grad.

Marc,

Very beautiful image and composition. You have just the right amount of sky above the peaks. This was probably a faily hefty exposure from the slow film, polarizer and grad.

About three seconds, fourty five minutes after dawn. Luckily no wind that day.

Beautiful shot Marc. I have been here before and I really need to go back. There is about a 3 month window of good weather in this area.Is it me or does there seem to be a slight green cast in the shade areas(especially the mountain)?

Quite lovely Marc! I particularly like the FG vegitation. It does have a little green cast to it, maybe from the velvia, but beautiful.

That was me over-doing it when trying to correct Velvia's magenta cast. Thanks for the feedback.
