The Syncline
I was driving up to Rowena early one morning a few years ago when I saw this scene. I pulled over right away and shot it. As I was packing up to leave the clouds moved and the light was gone.

Mark,
I've seen this particular spot many of times but never felt compelled enough to stop and shoot it. After seeing this, I wish I did stop. I really like it. The shadow in the middle really gives it a sense of mystery.

Nice separation of church and stage :jump:

Very beautiful, Mark.

This was taken with my D100 and although it looks pretty sharp on-screen I'm having a hell of a time printing it. It turns out mostly good but then the lower left corner of trees all mush out. I have an old print of it that I want to replace since I did a crappy job of matting it but I can't get the new one to print out well enough.

Arghh!

Excellent image Mark, imho of course...I'm always amazed that a feature so large and dramatic could be so hard to capture well.
