Becky,
Your more than welcome here. I have never been to Cathedral Provincial Park. I have been through the Okanogan and it's really beautiful. It does gets hot there in the summer. The terrain is close to being a desert. I really want to go back and explore the area alot more.
Becky, My wife and I go to the Cathedrals several times a year. We have never camped, (to dependant on our creature comforts) but do enjoy day tripping. There are a number of excellent camping areas in the park and along the road leading to the park. The Ashnola is really high right now and quite spectacular if you like rushing water. Since we live so far apart feel free to give us a ring 6626 in Osoyoos.

Thanks Erik, wasn't sure if BC was included as PNW or if it was just for US states! You definitely should make a trip back out here. We are as close to desert as you can get in Canada but just 30 minutes up the hill & you're in lush forests with ferns & cedars. It truly is an amazing valley! (and if you love wine, this is the place to be)
Lee, sorry I missed your call. I just sent you an email. Hope to talk to you tomorrow! Looking forward to hearing more about Cathedral trails. Just had my first chance to photograph that red bridge on Thursday afternoon. It is so beautiful. Can't wait to actually go beyond it & up that mountain road!

Hubby & I want to do an overnighter (or two) there soon but don't want to go in totally green!
Forgive me for butting in to the PNWNP forum but this one is the closest for locational questions.
Thanks!
