My friend and I tried to make it up Mosquito Pass from the Leadville side and were stopped by snow at appx 12.5K ft. Weird conditions today. Everything from sun to cloudy to snow/hail. I shot a few sheets of film but used the junior 5D alot more. So i guess this is my 1st digital post ever. Just some of the mining stuff in the Leadville Area.

Canon 5D, 24-70 L

Jr. 5D. That's funny. I love the shot, Rich. I've been up there many times and never saw this. Bummer you couldn't make it over the pass. All it takes is one strategically placed snow drift.

Todd,

I should say. It was quite nice to come home, clear the memory cards, charge the battery and be all set for another day. As we both know (ahem) it isnt quite that ummmm easy when shooting the LF stuff.

Great shot, Rich - I love the lead-in. No matter the weather, sure sounds better than a day full of meetings at work. Sounds like you're on your way to becoming addicted to the conveniences of digitial. I still carry my LF along with the D2X - it's nice to have the choice, especially when it's windy.
