Oneonta Falls Birthday Trip
Today is my birthday. Since moving here a little over a year ago, I have never "done" the Oneonta Gorge here in the Columbia River Gorge. Even with it raining and the fact I had to wade thru 2 deep areas to get to the falls, seeing, hearing and photographing this waterfall was what I wanted for my birthday present. The water is still pretty high, but it was was not that cold and my wet suit boots kept my toes cozy the whole 2 hours I was in the Gorge.

After this I went on a little hike with my wife and daughter and celebrated my birthday above Ponytail Falls with a chocolate crinkle cookie and them singing happy birthday to me.

One of my best birthdays ever.

4 exposures blended in post
20D and 17-40 f4L with a Hoya Circular Polarizer and Ultra-Soft MicroFiber Autio Cloth towels from Costco

John,
Happy birthday. It looks like your present was a sucess. This shot is real nice. The mossy rock on the left foreground really leads me into the frame nicely. :toast:
