Great shots so far everyone!!

This was back in the Fall of 2003. We had spent a good part of the day on Last Dollar Road outside of Telluride, and reached the "top" right around sunset time. We had overcast skies most of the day, so were quite delighted to see the sun finally break through right at the best time! This is looking at Little Cone mountain, which is a bit northwest of the Wilson group of peaks.

This image was made in Jackson Hole last fall. I had been shooting Blacktail Ponds Overlook in the early morning, and as I turned around to return to my car, spotted these grasses, backlit and glistening with dew and frost. I positioned my tripod about 6 feet away and shot at 300mm. Canon 10D.

If you can see it on this JPG, note the starburst coming off the dewdrop near the middle top. I am suprised that this glint registered, as I was shooting wide open, and I've really only seen good starbursts at smaller apertures.

I'm most interested to get comments and critiques about the composition as it was made with great care.

Shot of the light and lightening show in Denver tonight. Nat's image suddenly vanished like Guy's...must be a glitch of some sort.

Hey Nat can you try to reset your image, sounds great, and can anyone else help to figure out why we are losing images???

thanks

Bill

Something strange definitely going on, by image showed fine all day yesterday and then BLIP! Gone. Here it is again.

Scott - that's a beautiful shot. I love the composition, and great light - everything really fell into place for you on that one. Good job!

I'll bet no one recognizes this location.

Lee, that looks like Glen Canyon before it became Lake Powell.
Seriously, awesome color and pic.

Great pictures, everyone. I decided to go the lighthearted route - taken June 4, 2006 on Trail Ridge Road, about an hour after sunrise... Cropped to vertical...
