Lesser Black Backed Gull
Taken early morning in late April standing on the sea wall at Brean in Somerset.

First time I had tried photographing birds in flight with the camera in portrait mode, very difficult to keep the birds wings in the frame!

Canon EOS 1D Mark II, EF 300mm f2.8L IS Lens, EF 2x extender, F5.6, 1/2000, ISO Rating 320.

Gret capture - it is very difficult to do flight shots in portrait mode as you say. Spent many a frustrating hour at Bempton doing this.

Yea, well done. Not easy at all. Nice exposure too.
