A cracker of a pose and with a great bow wave too.
Maybe a little soft on my monitor though

Cheers,

This is a cracker. Also, Rene and John have made my day. I've just got a new Notebook (replacement under warranty) and your image is cutting sharp on the TFT.

Well done.

Great action shot. Agree with the others that a little more USM is required.

I've only seen these at a distance, what charming looking things they are I bet kids love them.
Marvellous.

Wonderful colours and pose of your bird.
I think I would have sharpened just the bird and blurred the bg a little perhaps.

Agree with Paula. BG just a bit too strong for the main Image.

Great action, and probably as good a composition as you could hope for, given the setting. The Sigmonster is a bit soft and the depth of field is very narrow when shooting wide open and I think both of these problems are apparent in your image. I try to keep my apperature at f7.1 or smaller when shooting waterfowl and focus on the shoulder of bird, relying on the depth of field to render both the eye and wing sharp.

Hello Steve
I haven't witnessed this myself so I find your image both interesting and very good. As usual, there is good advice from the guys.
Best wishes
