This is from the same location as the famous Ansel Adams "Clearing Winter Storm." 1944 image...
Well, finally got around to processing a panorama from the Yosemite adventure. This image was snapped the day we arrived at the park. We timed our arrival for the rainbow at Bridalveil Fall. This was shot before the rainbow occured.
There were some cloud buildups in the afternoon over the Sierra Crest, which meant some possible thunderstorms in the afternoon, but they never made it to the Valley.
Utilized a level head for the tripod make panoramas quite a bit easier. Levele d the head, set the exposure (Manual mode) and snapped the images in succession. This is composed of 7 vertical images. Shot in RAW and processed with NC and then stitched with Panorama Factory.
Minor processing in Photoshop. Levels, saturation and USM applied...Resized down to 1100 pixels on the longest side.

I always love going to Tunnel View. Even as crowded as it gets, i feel like I'm the only one out there when I see it.
i'm not sure if it's the USM, compression or what that's causing the heavy pixelization around Bridalveil. The rocks and trees look very odd as a result. The colors are good in the image overall. I think the bright green foliage on the tree on the right edge of the comp is a bit distracting because it's so much lighter than the rest of the foliage. I like the pano though.

Hi all I think it has to do with the compression of the image for a JPG.. I did post a larger version of the image and will add the link here...
